Realistic Metal Sculptures.

About me.

I began my welding career at 16 years old, working in a pipe fabrication shop in my hometown in Alberta. I completed my training in 2017 at Red Deer College and obtained my Journeymen Red Seal Welding certificate. I worked as a Journeyman structural welder on various pipeline stations throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan and picked up many skills along the way which I apply to my metal artwork.

When I had my first baby, I had trouble finding work that was in town and had reasonable hours to accommodate a family life. Being out of town wasn’t an option but I knew I didn’t want to give up welding. As a result, I went on to start my own business, “Metal Monkey Design Co.” and began selling things I welded. Everything from metal furniture to artwork. After the first few sculptures came together, I knew I had found my true passion.

My artistic skills are completely self taught. I weld, grind and cut the steel to create texture and bring the metal to life.

Now, at 26. I reside in our small town in Saskatchewan with my husband Dylan and two children Ellie and Will. Life is busy over here! If I’m not building something in the shop, we like to spend our time outdoors- golfing, hunting, fishing, and at the family cabin in Northern Sask. My art often resembles the nature I surround myself in.

Welding, and creating metal sculpture is truly my passion. I love being able to take a piece of steel and turn it into something beautiful. It never gets old watching your vision come to life! I am beyond blessed to be living out my dream-combining my love for welding with my passion to create. I plan to keep growing Metal Monkey Design Co. and creating one-of-a-kind sculptures for people to enjoy.
